Eating some greasy food! Haha

Saying goodbye to Jorge and Yolanda

Si ve mis cosas en la feria, compre los.

Wow, what a week! Elder Peterson and I have had a very solid week here in Belloni. I am really enjoying getting to know the area and all of the members. This week we found this side street that lead to a little village. While we were waiting at a man’s door, a little girl came out and asked us, "Do you guys talk about God? Cause I like that sort of stuff. Can you guys come talk to me?” Her name is Jasmin, and she is 9 years old, and she is quite possibly, the most mature 9 year old that I have ever met. She had already read to Acts in the New Testament......whaaatt? Her friends came over and asked her to play, but she turned them down and was like "Guys, can't you see I am busy? I will come and play after we are done talking." Haha. She is extremely loving. She gave us a photo in a picture frame of Jesus and she also showed us a children's book form the Jehovah's Witnesses....We gave here a book of Mormon to trade. My heart almost broke when she explained to us that her neighbor friend doesn’t have food to eat... and sometimes her Mom gets really mad at her...so Jasmin loans her extra mattress and lets her friend sleep at her house, and then lets her eat with her, or gives her food, or some money to buy food. I think that she is a great example of the pure love of Christ. Someone with nothing, sharing with someone that has even less.

On a less Spiritual side, Elder Peterson and I were teaching this dude, and he was totally looking for an argument. We tried to be patient, and answer his questions, but it got to a point where we were so tired that Elder Peterson looked up a scripture and I looked one up, and we read them back to back, and it totally put him in his place. In the words of my comp. "We wrecked him.” He was pretty shocked and he wasn't really sure what to say. I don’t think he is going to try to argue with us anytime soon. To be honest we kind of regretted being so direct with him, but in the end it looks like it might have been just what he needed to start to progress.

I am doing great, and I am really enjoying my new area. We have found a few new investigators already and we have a couple that is planning on getting married and then baptized, who came to church! So the work is moving along great!
Have a great week everyone!

Quote of the week:
"You just have to be as good as you can be and God will magnify you and make you more than you could ever become. The Holy Ghost will operate through us in spite of our limitations." - Elder Bednar
